The Program Vision

Improve government performance to become more efficient and effective by providing government services electronically aiming to provide the best for citizens and enable the citizens to access information, to support decision-making, and to formulate policies in a more understanding way for the citizens and their needs, which helps to strengthen trust between the government and the citizen, as well as, provide more transparency, reduce corruption, maximize return and reduce expenses.

1. The government service platform of egypt.gov.eg

The Project Objective

To provide and deliver government services to citizens in their places of presence in the form and manner appropriate, quickly and efficiently.

The Project Description

Developing the portal to fulfill international standards and indicators in providing service to citizens and providing government services through the portal.

Achievement

Availability of 72 government services across the government services platform

2. Enforcing and applying the law

The Project Objective

To achieve rapid and effective of judicial decision-making alongside with achieving the accelerated justice.

The Project Description

  • Establishment of a national database of judicial judgments
  • Documentation of the working sessions of the litigation procedures and the judgments executing
  • Establishment of information systems for the management of lawsuits and administrative procedures inside the authorities involved in the project
  • Providing court/prosecution services at various degrees through the Egyptian Government Portal
  • Create an electronic archive system for documents of various lawsuits
  • Structural, environmental, administrative and human development at all levels inside the involved authorities.

Achievement

  • Automation of 71 Police stations in Cairo - Giza - Ismailia - Port Said - Suez - Matrouh - Alexandria
  • Automation of 255 prosecutions in Cairo - Alexandria – Ismailia – Suez - Port Said – Matrouh – Beheira – Sharqia – Dakahlia - North Sinai - South Sinai – Fayoum - Beni Suef – Qena- Luxor – Aswan – Red Sea - Giza.
  • Automation of 58 Courts in Cairo - Alexandria - Ismailia - Suez - Port Said - Matrouh
  • Automation of 19 Forensic Offices

3. Automation of the Real Estate Registration Offices

The Project Objective

To raise the level of services provided by the Real Estate Authority to preserve, document and register property and rights promoting the investment environment.

The Project Description

Automation of the internal work cycles at the offices of the real estate registration, provision services to citizens through various service outlets, development the procedures for registering the property and creating a central database of documents, notarizations, and ownership.

Achievement

  • Automation of 28 Real Estate Offices
  • Redevelopment of 5 Real Estate Offices
  • Availability of 2 services on the portal and mobile

4. Automation of Traffic Units and Prosecution

The Project Objective

Improve the services provided to citizens through the unification and development of work cycles to simplify procedures, and to ensure transparency in dealing with citizens and to prevent corruption of all kinds.

The Project Description

o Developing the systems of traffic units and prosecution, as well as, implementing specialized information systems to manage data and information for all traffic services provided to the citizens.
o Open multiple new channels to provide traffic services otherthan non-traditional service outlets to save effort, time and money to the citizens.
o Establishing standard national databases and integrating them to the databases of the State sectors through the government linking network, which helps decision-makers in the policies taken by the State in the field of economy

Achievement

  • Automation of 175 traffic units
  • Automation of 229 traffic prosecution
  • Automation of 11 customs port
  • Availability of 3 services for traffic prosecution on the portal and mobile
  • Creation of a unified database of traffic systems in 50 traffic units

5. Developing the Services of Citizens in Municipalities

The Project Objective

Providing citizens and investors with civilized, fast, accurate and integrated services throughout the Republic

The Project Description

Achieving integration between the centers of government services’ provision using a centralized unified system that allows decentralized management at the level of all local units in the center, city and district in all governorates and their bureaus, service directorates and departments

Achievement

  • Automation of 90 local units, second edition (served 110 services).
  • Availability of 11 services (districts and city services) and 15 services (local and municipal units services) on the portal and mobile.
  • Automation of 15 new cities from a total of 22 new urban cities

6. Channels to provide Government Service (Mobile Services)

The Project Objective

To provision of mobile government services to reach the largest number of citizens and to provide government services similar to the best global services provided by the government, and to provide a satisfactory experience for customers.

The Project Description

Establishment of a governmental telephone application for citizens who can obtain all government services (personal, social and health) for citizens in all government departments.

Achievement

  • Providing 31 services through the application of Egypt services
  • Providing 26 services for the municipalities
  • Providing 3 traffic services
  • Providing 2 services for the real estate

7. Developing and Creating of Electronic Portal - Governmental Jobs Portal

The Project Objective

Achieving effective communication between government agencies and the public audience (citizens, investors, and tourists), attracting investment and tourism, creating associated community awareness and building trust with the Government Apparatus.

The Project Description

Establishing electronic portals for the governorates, new urban cities, and government agencies to be an effective navigation tool and an interactive link between the government authorities (executive - public - civil), citizens and investors.

Achievement

  • Establishment of electronic portals in 15 governorates
  • Establishing and developing electronic portals in 8 governorates
  • Establishment of electronic portals in 2 new cities
  • Establishment of electronic portals in 6 government authorities

8. Automating Services of the Civil Status Department

The Project Objective

To raise the efficiency of government performance, to simplify procedures inside the sector reducing the burden on the service applicant and reducing pressure on Civil Status Offices.

The Project Description

To develop the services of the Civil Status Department and to enable electronic application for obtaining personal documents through the Civil Status Portal and for delivering them to the applicant in the desiring place by using the new service channels.

Achievement

To finish the following services and to make them available on the portal and mobile:

  • Request for lost/damaged ID alternative
  • Request a computerized birth certificate
  • Request a computerized death certificate
  • Request for a computerized marriage certificate
  • Request for a computerized divorce certificate
  • Family registration application
  • The Civil Status Department website is being developed in line with the electronic payment plan
