1. Government Data Exchange Platform (GDE)

Project Objective

Activate and facilitate communication and data transfer between governmental agencies in a secure manner

Project Description

The establishment of a central communication unit to connect all governmental agencies via a closed and secured network. Establishing technical interface to connect governmental agencies to deal with the central communication unit.

Achievement

20 governmental authorities and 8 services are linked through the (GDE) platform

2. Patient Entry-Exit System (Entry-Exit-System) ADT

Project Objective

Registration of admitted patients in public hospitals; rapid storing and retrieving data of patients benefiting from treatment and diagnosis services within all universities and public hospitals.

Project Description

Development of hospital management systems, automation of working shifts in universities and public hospitals and establishment of a medical file for each patient in a unified code using the national ID and diseases code ICD10

Achievement

Operation of the automation system in 315 public hospitals and 56 University hospitals with a total of 371 hospitals

3. Births and Deaths Registration System

Project Objective

Provide instant birth and death data affecting all public services and databases

Project Description

Registering birth and death data in 4500 national interconnected health offices using technological systems to prevent error occurrence and provide health indicators that abide by the international standards.

Achievement

  • - Automation of 4571 health offices, 300 health departments, and 27 directorates
  • - Linking to: population capacity - Health Insurance - Education - Public and Private Insurance - Nasser Bank – Egypt Post Authority - Takaful & Karama - Social Security Pension - Supply

4. Central Vaccinations Centers

Project Objective

To increase the efficiency of the health system (preventive system) and to identify the real coverage rates of the periodic vaccinations, to increase coverage rates and to provide the necessary data for the medical file of the newborns.

Project Description

- Establishing a central database to follow-up on the implementation of the vaccination plan - Establishing an electronic system to exchange notifications
- Automation of vaccinations' registration cycle within health units (5000 health units) - Link vaccination file with the family medical file

Achievement

Automation of vaccinations in 300 health units in three Governorates, namely (Suez - Port Said - Matrouh)

5. Development of central administration services for pharmaceutical affairs. of central administration services for pharmaceutical affairs

Project Objective

To predict medical gaps, with an emphasis on the strategic gaps, in order to support the medicinal map in Egypt.

Project Description

Establishment of an accurate database of the registered pharmaceuticals products within Egypt, as well as, automating the registration process of pharmaceuticals products starting from the Alternatives Fund until issuance of the final registration notification, in addition to the national database of the companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Achievement

  • Creating a complete database including pharmaceutical products (cosmetics - human - biological - veterinary - supplements - medical supplies)
  • Completion of the management systems of the Alternatives Fund (corporate management records – labeling and pricing committees - cosmetic registration cycle)

6. Automation of The Ministry of Health central laboratories

Project Objective

Establishing the information system for laboratories concerned with medical analysis, nutrition, water, drugs, and toxins to facilitate work for all parties (citizens - investors – labs staff–entities dealing with laboratories).

Project Description

Establishing an information system and automating different analysis work cycles within the MOH central laboratories in Cairo and different governorates, concerned with medical analysis, nutrition, water, drugs, and toxins, and linking them with Cairo central laboratories.

Achievement

  • Automation of 6 labs in Cairo, Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said, Beheira and Suez
  • 4 labs were linked to Cairo central laboratories

7. Automation and inventory of ICU beds 137

Project Objective

Improve critical and urgent cases of patient care services.

Project Description

Establishment of a central system and a unified database for all patients in the ICU divisions and incubators in the hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health using ICD10 codes to provide information on the number of vacant beds in ICU divisions and incubators departments and to facilitate extracting some statistics related to patients, as well as, diseases based on several factors; for example, the patient gender and age in addition to the geographical areas.

Achievement

Linking ICU divisions and incubators in 287 hospitals in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalioubia, South Sinai, Ismailia, Port Said, Sharkia, Suez, Beheira, Damietta, Kafr El Sheikh, Alexandria, Matrouh, Gharbia, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Qena, Sohag, Asyut and the Red Sea.

8. Automation of MOH Oncology Centers and Institutes

Project Objective

To provide medical services for patients in a comfortable and convenient manner and exchange of patient data between oncology centers and the Egyptian National Cancer Institute (ENCI).

Project Description

Establish a unified information system for patients with the tumor within Egypt by automating the work cycles of all oncology centers and the (ENCI) and linking them together.

Achievement

Automation of the (ENCI) and Oncology Center Nasser Institute - Mit Ghamr - Damietta - Salam - Aswan.

9. Automation of Hospitals

Project Objective

Developing hospital management systems and automating the work cycle in hospitals.

Project Description

Automation of hospitals through the automation of diagnostic radiology and medical analysis laboratories in all hospitals, as well as, construction of information infrastructure for the hospitals.

Achievement

  • The completion of automation of Abu Rish Medical Hospital - Al-Munira –Al- Manial Specialized University Hospital - Cairo Oncology Center
  • Automation of the Heart Institute and being linked to the headquarters

10. Development of HR Management System

Project Objective

Developing the governmental work system and expanding the use of human resources management systems in ministries.

Project Description

Developing the governmental work system using ICT and modern scientific data for the development of HR management systems

Achievement

Implemented in the MPMAR (Administrative Development Sector - General Bureau)
